JOHAN HAS LOST HIS KEY AND IS LOCKED OUT. WHEN WILL MOM COME HOME? DARKNESS DESCENDS OVER THE SNOW IN THE BLOCK OF FLATS
Snow and Sand shows a child's struggle with the realities of everyday life. Mother works all the time and the parents no longer live together. Johan has to fend for himself as best he can. He uses his imagination to create meaning in life. Because if you make a story inside your head about the things that happen in life, then the reality is actually not so bad. But what happens when the imagination is out of control? There are snowballs and love, failures and revelations. Snow and Sand won the Danish Playwright's Manuscript Award for children and young people 2020.
"Using simple measures, Carl Martin Norén showes a moving story about a fragile growing up, in which he sensually develops the emotional life of a 12-year-old main character without too many adult explanations inside"
